Fluoropolymer-lined non-return valves

PFA-Lined Check Valves

Three catalog-listed non-return mechanisms: ball check, visual ball check and wafer check. Each has its own size table, construction and installation considerations; the combined range does not imply interchangeable ratings.

Non-return selection

Choose the check mechanism before confirming the lined construction

The process duty determines whether a ball, visual-ball or compact wafer mechanism should be reviewed. Media chemistry then determines the acceptable lining and wetted-material package.

  • 3
    Three catalog configurations

Ball, visual-ball and wafer mechanisms provide different installation envelopes and flow behavior.

  • F
    Flow direction matters

Orientation, minimum differential pressure and allowable pressure loss must be checked for self-acting duty.

  • M
    Mechanism-specific review

Do not transfer sizes, dimensions or pressure references between the three check-valve constructions.

01

Check function

State normal flow, reverse-pressure case, installation orientation and expected operating differential.

02

Media behavior

Identify viscosity, solids, crystallization, deposits and any need for visual observation.

03

Installation envelope

Confirm flange standard, face-to-face space and whether a compact wafer body is required.

04

Transient conditions

Provide pump start-stop, pulsation and surge information relevant to the non-return duty.

Selection support

Define the non-return duty, not only the pipe size.

Send flow direction, orientation, pressure profile, medium, solids, temperature, flange standard and allowable pressure loss for configuration review.
