State the body material and grade
“Stainless valve” can refer to a body, disc, shaft or trim component. The RFQ should identify which pressure-boundary and wetted parts require a stainless grade.

Ductile-iron butterfly valve construction and selected stainless body, disc, shaft and trim options extend the HENO portfolio for project-specific material requirements.

Material options
Ductile iron provides a widely used industrial body-material route, while stainless grades can be selected for the body, disc, shaft or trim where the medium or project specification requires them.
A traditional body-material choice for water and general industrial systems, subject to lining, seat and service selection.
Options include 304 / 316 discs, 410 / EN 1.4057 shafts and selected CF8 / CF8M body or trim combinations.
Size, pressure, connection, seat, disc, shaft, body grade, operator and test requirements must be tied to one model.
Material map
The final material combination is selected for the medium, pressure, temperature, connection and valve design.
| Material route | Available examples | Selection use | Confirm in RFQ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ductile-iron butterfly valve | Ductile-iron body configurations | Water and general industrial service selection | Model, size, pressure rating, connection, seat, disc and actuation |
| Stainless disc / shaft | 304 / 316 disc and 410 / EN 1.4057 shaft options for HF-520 | Wetted-component and shaft material selection | Exact grade and combination for the selected size and duty |
| Stainless high-performance construction | CF8 / CF8M and selected stainless trim combinations | Offset soft-seat or metal-seat valve projects | Model, pressure class, drawing, bill of materials and tests |
| Stainless structural body for lined valves | Selected stainless structural body options | Projects combining a stainless pressure boundary with a lined wetted path | Body grade, lining system and product-specific range |

Seat, lining, disc, shaft, fasteners and seals must be reviewed with the medium rather than inferred from the body material.
Nominal size alone does not establish dimensions or allowable pressure. Include PN or Class, standard, facing and service temperature.
